The IT Nerd

I’ve been working in IT for 33 years (almost since the time of the dinosaurs). There was no internet, browsers, broadband, Wi-Fi, smartphones, Google or even email when I first started!

I‘ve seen it all unfold, watching IT develop from a techy niche to an everyday function of our work and personal lives.

Prior to this, I started off in social services and the manufacture of electronics, with a sprinkling of consulting and training on the way.

7 years ago, however, I went out on my own, taking my passion for making IT work for businesses with me.

So, here we are in a world where IT is the lifeblood of work and home life.

Outside of work my passions are for music (both listening and singing), as well as cycling and watching sports.

Helen obviously hasn’t been around as long as me. She has a varied career, including running her own cleaning business. Along with keeping the family on the straight and narrow, her exceptional organisation skills are clear to see.

Her role at IT Allies is to keep the system running and tell Chris what he has missed, so is absolutely invaluable.

Her passions outside the workplace are family and friends, Prosecco and warm sunny holidays. She also makes a mean lasagne, which everyone loves.
